anyway it's good to have a lot of time in our hands to do up the renovations for our place. i may start earlier coz a lot of work seems to be starting after the chinese 7th mth that ends in end sep and not in sep itself. and a lot of ppl dare not do any renos in the 7th mth. geez. super bantang leh.
on sat aft my work, i met Ww to go great world city (before the club momo thingy) and according to Ww is his dream come true..haa..because there's so many home stuff there and everytime he goes to the BB headquarters, he said he wished he can walk arnd the place with me. so we did yesterday!
we spotted this table at Lifestorey....i luv the sleekness of it all. the shine and the gloss. it was on offer and $1.3k. (original $1.8k) at first i was like...wah..expensive but then i thot of the tables we wanted to buy from barang barang...they're abt $1.1k which is almost the same. i'll mull over it for a while...

tho i love this table from Air Division with its white marble top and costs $2k. :S the pic doesn't show the marble tho..but it's beautiful.

so after mulling and considering things for our new home...we almost bought the mayers offer package of a hood, vitroceramic hob (those without flame) and oven...but i think i can get at a better price still. heh..connections.
and our house floor plan has gone some substantial changes after discussing about it last night. basically our study and living area. it's always a headache, the living area, because our entrance is the balcony. and we would love a real balcony area rather than an entrance. we even contemplated having a wood platform with a water feature. (quite cool but Ww thinks that we wouldn't be able to stand the water trickling sound after a while and i don't think i wouldn't bother to take care of it).
so the final conclusion Living room: a wood platform (those outdoor wood decking kind), and those outdoor-ish high table and chair so we can sit there and chit chat while taking in the view. and to partition this space from the living room, those ikea's Expedit bookcase (those square kind) to partition the living and the deck area. cheaper than making one even tho i contemplated frabricating one like what i saw at Plank. have to divide the balcony from the living coz the rest of the house will be very white...anything but resort. and i didn't agree over using those foldable screens and he didn't agree over building a half-height wall only thing i'm not sure about is that our sofa is like 4m away from the tv...seems too far but i guess since the tv we're buying will be a large 42" plasma, it should be big enough distance.
Study room conclusion: we swapped our bookcase placing. to the living room side of the wall. and decided using those plank shelving from ikea instead of fabricating bookcases. not those bookshelves tho which are so weak they are 'smiling' under the weight of our heavy books. then again...i'm not sure if i trust this shelving..or should i get my carpenter to do it. gotta check out at ikea sale. then full glass panel with a large glass sliding door. a sofa for our coffee corner. no fancy false lighting...but just those super bright fluorescent lighting we now always have at home...and a pretty standing lamp for our coffee corner. we juz love these chat corners.
bedroom and kitchen not discussed yet...coz we were so excited talking about it we didn't know it was already 1am by then. another time ba.
