no big fanfare celebration this month...we're having family dinner to celebrate my mum-in-law's bday at i-dunno-where yet coz no one can decide as yet. it's right in the middle of the week coz Ww's sis and her husband are not working. so we'll see how tmr :)
over the weekend....
Cell had cell at bedok reservoir...didn't feel really prepared tho...but still have been encouraged by cell's sharing and insights.

and a quite relaxing basketball match...YZ vs YZ. hehh..but our team lost by 1 mark! oh whell..still it's quite a fun match anyway. the rain kinda got us all stuck in the stadium and in the end i decided to go to my mum's place for dinner...and pick up Ww's marking and books that he left there

So we had a nice dinner. mum cooked fried tofu...yums. :)

anyway, it's been such a busy week, i can't seem to pinpoint what i'm busy about. sometimes it's work, sometimes it's tuition, sometimes it's spending time with friends and family, sometimes it's church activities.or mayb it's coz i ran on friday night that i felt so tired the past few days...hmm. but i feel my strength coming back..heheheh...that's why i'm still up at 2:48am, after finishing up the Parents' Day flyer. i've still got a long list of to-do. not that long...but still long.it's just whether it's really important or not.
sometimes i'm just unsettled. this morning i had to drop by our to-be new house to check for defects...at 830am (oso cos i got to go down to site by 10am). i couldn't seem to sit down and pray properly, much less read the bible. sighz. so i brought along a book to read on my way to site...i read C:6 "What clamours your attention?"
"We're all born with one thing in common: time. ... But regardless of how much you get, you have a responsibility to spend it well. Imagine spending one dollar every second. Some you spend on candy, some on entertainment, some on giving to the needy and so on. Time is no different. As each moment passes, you have spent a moment that can never return. ... ...but you can't get it back. How we spend our time plays out in a series of choices, every moment, every day."
i kinda cringe at the times i've wasted my time, or didn't make the right choices in how my time is to be spent. which is more valuable? sometimes at the crux of time, i don't make good enough decisions...the good decisions are those that will please God...and i choose the other. sometimes value is hard to weigh.
the author quotes Charles Swindoll "Guard against the tyranny of the urgent. The most important things will seldom scream for your attention, they will simply wait for you to discover them. Things like prayer, Scripture study, cultivating friendships, thinking, enjoying art. The loud and demanding are rarely as important as these."
enjoying art. how fun... :) i'm like dying to take a walk through exhibitions and pause to think, or now i'm itching to stroll around in those furniture shops to see furnitures and how they are made...but other than i've got no time...these things don't seem to be as impt as many other things that clamours for my attention.
there's more....but i'll have to save writing it for another day.
better get to zz le.
