I'm halfway through my recovery (or MC days). They say that it takes 3-6months to physically recover (cos of the c-section) and another 6 more months for the body to bu3 (in chinese terms) itself back. That means it will only be another 1yr before we can start trying for a baby? hmm..eastern & western meds is so different.
Meanwhile i've been on a brain dead mode while doing quite almost zero reflections, reading books or anything that keeps me 'alive'. Even God seems so far away. Of course playing with Eliza is another part of my life that keeps me alive, i just feel sad i can't really bring her out and enjoy the outdoors, let her run about and explore the world. gosh sometimes i wish i have a place like what i read in a article in Real Simple for Eliza to run about in what the authors describe as "thriving in the summer green space and winter snowfields and autumn leaves" How i long for those kind of environment though i'm not really brought up in those places.
Anyway i managed to take a trip to the library & borrow my fav Real Simple mag for some inspiration. (yes i dream of those kind of houses, those kind of beautiful pictures...oooo..) ok i think it's just the way they take the photos...but oh so pretty!
So, while i'm trying to get my brain back on working & dreaming mode...some stuff i started reading on RS that's really nice...
In the Your Words section...the question of the month was "What is the secret to a good marriage?" and the winning quote was
"Come as you are.
Marry someone you love exactly as they are and be sure they feel the same. That way you'll never expect more of each other than you are each happy to give. ..."
That's what we said and still say to each other (not that verbally la) that we love and accept each other as who they are. After 5 years of dating, and 3 years of marriage, we haven't really gone much of a long way yet. Still we have molded into each other's 'kuan4', such that while we can't stand that part of each other, we accept that part of each other. Time also gives you a lot to remember and a lot to build upon, not just memories but like how your house grows as you live in it. Same...time has created our bond and only we know the lame things we say to each other and the secret ways we talk to each other.
Still there's much to know of each other. I only knew Ww liked noodles when we went on our honeymoon to Melbourne when he was craving for noodles and i was more than happy living by on sandwiches for all meals. AND he only knew that my blood type was the same as his...like 2weeks+ ago! See..don't underestimate how much or little you can know in a long time.
We look to our life ahead and continue to live and dream. We plan but God makes it happen.
